  • Part-Time Independent Computer Repair Technicians

    Princeton, NJ

    IT Computer Services firm is seeking independent certified technicians to service our Central New Jersey customers. Interested technicians must be customer service oriented and be able to service calls during normal business hours. Must also be able to receive computer electronic components and parts on an occasional basis. Interested individuals should send us their resume.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    ? 2 years experience in the troubleshooting & repair of computers
    ? Ability to handle PC related issues such as viruses, spyware, and rootkit removal as well a basic hardware upgrades (memory, hard drives, etc.)
    ? Ability repair/replace laptop power connectors, keyboards, and/or LCD screens is a plus.
    ? One or more of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, MCP, Network +, MCSE, CCNA
    ? Experience with the Microsoft Product Line (Windows OS & Small Business Server Products); Knowledge of Apple or Dell products is a plus
    ? Excellent communication and informal presentation skills
    ? High integrity and Professional appearance with strong work ethic
    ? Sales and/or customer service experience is a plus

    Skill Set/Knowledge Requirements:

    ? Installation and operating knowledge of Windows Server (Optional)
    ? Diagnose and repair network configuration issues (wired and wireless)
    ? Diagnose and repair PC/workstation related issues. Use of remote diagnostics tools is a plus
    ? Configure, upgrade and test internal workstations and servers
    ? Install, configure, upgrade and test computer hardware and peripherals
    ? Identify, document, and perform issues related to data security and data backup
    ? Ability to repair laptop power connectors, replace LCD screens, hard drives, RAM, and USB ports is a plus
    ? Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Exchange setup and administration
    ? Working knowledge of DHCP, IP and internet related hardware
    ? Working and support knowledge of diagnostic and troubleshooting utilities
    ? Working and support knowledge of BIOS configuration and upgrade utilities
    ? Ability to answer computer hardware/software related questions in non-technical terms
